SteelSeries Qck

In the age of laser mice and desktop gaming, some gamers argue that mouse pads are not necessary gaming gear. I strongly disagree. While they may not have the bells and whistles other gaming gear has, a good mouse pad is essential to accurate and precise mouse movement – which naturally is something we want when we game. SteelSeries is famous for making high quality gaming gear, and their mouse pads are no exception.

For me, there are two main deciding factors when picking a mouse pad, size, and surface texture. Of course there are a few other things to consider like thickness, base texture, and durability, but I personally will sacrifice some of those to get one that fits my space with a good surface texture.

Having used a range of different mouse pads in my time, the Qck is definitely a contender for my favorite. It is simple, stays flat even if you roll it up frequently, and the 12.6in x 10.6in surface is just large enough for my tastes. Its larger than a standard mouse pad, but not as large as some of the other gaming surfaces I have seen, and fits my small desk almost perfectly. The surface is a plain black cloth, that has surprisingly smooth glide.

Overall the Qck is a quality gaming mouse pad at an affordable price point.
