The Hidden Path, the first Free content update for Crate Entertainment’s Action RPG, Grim Dawn, was released today with Patch 188.8.131.52.
The Hidden Path sends players along a mysterious route taken only by the followers of the Three Witch Gods: Bysmiel, Dreeg and Solael. The origins and desires of this celestial triumvirate have been veiled in shadows, until today. Players who seek out the secrets of the Three will be challenged by five new bosses, a deadly retinue of new monster variants and a treacherous new dungeon. The triumphant will be rewarded with seven new Unique items and three new Monster Infrequents (a type of special monster-only equipment), exclusively from the new encounters.
In addition to the new content, Patch 184.108.40.206 brings balance changes, bug fixes and improvements to the modding tools and a highly anticipated update to the Devotion system that opens up vast new opportunities for building characters.
Grim Dawn released in February 2016 to resounding positive reviews from both players and reviewers with a 93% Steam rating and averaging 83% on Metacritic with an 8.6 User Score. An Action RPG set in a Victorian-era fantasy world where humanity has been pushed to the brink of extinction, Grim Dawn delivers on the fast-paced, brutal combat and epic loot players expect, but also pushes the genre forward with choice & consequence questing, a faction reputation system, the Devotion character customization system and more.
